Bob Barker is a well-known American television game show host, best known for hosting CBS’s “The Price Is Right” from 1972 to 2007, making it the longest-running daytime game show in North American television history. Born on December 12, 1923, in Darrington, Washington, Barker started his career in 1956 with the show “Truth or Consequences.” Apart from his television career, Barker is recognized for his work in animal rights activism. He won 19 Emmy Awards during his career, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.
