Who Is Bono

Bono is an internationally recognized Irish singer-songwriter, philanthropist, and lead vocalist of the rock band U2. Born as Paul David Hewson on May 10, 1960, in Dublin, Ireland, he is best known by his stage name, Bono.

Since forming U2 in 1976, Bono and his bandmates have released numerous chart-topping hits and won multiple Grammy Awards. Apart from his music career, Bono is also known for his activism and humanitarian work. He co-founded organizations like DATA, EDUN, the ONE Campaign, and Product Red, focused on causes such as eliminating extreme poverty and fighting AIDS. Bono has received several awards for his music and humanitarian work, including the Nobel Man of Peace award in 2008.
